The original version by Mann & Weill was changed for the Drifters' recording with the collaboration of Leiber & Stoller. It is in their show SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE.

Trivia: A young Phil Spector played the distinctive lead guitar solo on The Drifters' recording.

Like Sergio, I love the George Benson version.
