Who does Norman Bates tell his troubles to? SHRINK! SHRINK! SHRINK!

How does Norman Bates bury his troubles? DRINK! DRINK! DRINK!

Patti - Such a classic film! Just so excellent on a lot of levels in my opinion. But then, I like Hitchock's work.

I think my partner is the only person in the world who has no idea what Psycho is about! Only a few nights ago he told me he's never seen it. I used to make jokes on some of our road trips about travelling on the cheap and I'd sleep almost anywhere but we should try to avoid the Bates Motel and he just smiled. Now I know he hadn't a clue what I was talking about. The big faker!

It is truly a scary movie-one mamy would avoid. I remember my mother refusing to even see a watered down version on TV in the seventies.

The shade of Robert Bloch, creator of Norman Bates, bears a wry smile.

Finally caught the William Castle documentary, which notes in some detail the degree to which Castle and Hitchcock were friends as well as colleagues, and includes some snippets from a promotional film Bloch, Castle and Joan Crawford did for STRAIT-JACKET's release.
